As Christmas approaches (and the end of another year..!) I have been thinking about my past travels. It’s hard to believe a year has passed since I was going through Europe’s best Christmas Markets! Amsterdam was one of my favourite places to spend some time in the lead up to the festive holiday.
It was cold but full of bright lights and plenty of atmosphere with Christmas cheer all around. The canals had a soft glow on them and the stylish Dutch locals walked (or rather cycled) through the Jordaan area. The decorations throughout the city were spectacular.
A tour to the Windmills in Zannse Schans really put me in the Christmas spirit with the most incredible window displays I have ever seen. My love affair continues with this city and I can not wait to start planning my next trip back!
