Empowerment comes in many forms and sometimes in ways you think would have minimal impact. Take styling yourself for example. We style ourselves to look good which in turn makes us feel good. If we feel good we feel confident. If we feel confident we try new things, expand our horizons and open ourselves up to new opportunities.
Or it may be time to take a step back, slow down for a moment, take stock of where you are at, who you are and who you want to be. Life is fast paced; we need to remind ourselves to live in the moment from time to time. Sip your morning coffee a little slower and find the beauty that is around you and within you. This may lead you to try new styles, experiment, find the new look, the new you.
There are so many opportunities in life to re-invent yourself. Take moving to a new city for example, something I have done already a few times in my life. A girlfriend once said to me “its great living in a big city because I am anonymous. I can re-invent myself, none of these people know who I am, so why not become who I want to be!”
That doesn’t necessarily mean become someone else, just perhaps focus on who exactly do you want to be and not be held back with peoples perception of who you are. And the perfect place to start a transformation is how you style yourself. This is the next move for you… It is time to try a bold colour you haven’t worn before. See how you feel stepping outside that comfort zone you normally stay in.
The feeling of wearing a statement colour will leave you feeling empowered, ready to take on a fresh day or a completely new start.
